PARIS - Cross Match Technologies and DigitalPersona today unveiled a new joint brand identity at Cartes 2014. The companies merged in April, creating the largest independent provider of biometric management solutions.
"We feel we’ve accomplished our goal of combining the products and service expertise of both companies,” said Rich Agostinelli, CEO of the new Crossmatch. “We were careful to preserve that brand equity and create a new brand that is greater than the sum of the parts.”
“The integration process moved quickly because the two companies were highly complementary in terms of product portfolios, service offerings, market coverage and strategic focus,” he added.
As well as the new company name and logo, Crossmatch has also launched a new website this week.
The new firm created by the merger comprises more than 300 employees and has a strong global presence in the government, financial, retail, defense, law enforcement and corporate markets. Cross Match had been traditionally strong in government and law enforcement markets, while DigitalPersona had an established presence in commercial markets, such as retail and banking.
“The integration positions us well to provide complete identity management solutions which include leading biometric enrolment and authentication hardware and software, a robust workflow management platform, and a wide range of professional services and support offerings,” added Agostinelli.
