Planet Biometrics caught up with anti-spoofing specialists NexID at connect:ID 2015, with chief operating officer Mark Cornett discussing the evolution of attitudes towards spoofing.

A few days earlier, the anti-spoofing and liveness detection firm had announced that shipments of version 2.0 of its fake-finger-detection (FFD) solution had begun.

NexID said version 2.0 of its SDK boosts the accuracy rate range to 96.5 to 99.5 percent in catching bogus identification attempts across a variety of fingerprint-sensor types, such as touch or swipe, and technologies including optical, capacitance, and other emerging fingerprint sensor technologies.
