AuthenTec has introduced new mobile identity management software, TrueSuite Mobile, designed specifically to enhance the features and functions of AuthenTec smart sensors in mobile phones.

TrueSuite Mobile includes a newly simplified API designed specifically for the application developer community to facilitate biometric feature access and secure management of passwords and PINs. Application development is simplified and streamlined through optimized user flows, behind the scenes control of a secure credential management system and a graphics engine supporting customized rapid user interface development.

TrueSuite Mobile software supports AuthenTec’s newest smart sensors including the AES1750 for touchscreen phones and the newly introduced AES850, the world’s smallest combination navigation and authentication device. It is also compatible with multiple mobile operating systems including Android, Windows Phone 7 and Symbian.

“Smartphones continue to be one of the fastest growing segments of the mobile market, due in no small part to the user experience and proliferation of applications. We are pleased to now offer a complete biometric solution for greatly enhancing this user experience via TrueSuite Mobile and our newest smart sensors,” said Art Stewart, Vice President of AuthenTec’s Smart Sensor Solutions.
