Mobile biometric authentication tech firm Daon has released a new version of its multi-modal IdentityX Platform.
The new IdentityX v4.0 includes a FIDO UAF certified server component as an option, while other enhancements include an API interface and administration console.
The company wrote in a statement that the new v4.0 version boasts a faster and more accurate face matching algorithm in addition to supporting new platforms that include Windows Server 2012 and SQL Server 2012.
Customers have welcomed the improvements:
"IdentityX provides a tremendous advantage to the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) in the marketplace as we usher in new innovative systems that serve airports, such as our Application Based Transportation System (ABT)," according to Carter Morris, EVP of the American Association of Airport Executives.
"IdentityX allows airport enforcement professionals to securely and simply authenticate with biometrics to the ABT system that tracks Ride Share companies as they operate on airport property."
"Daon is committed to offering our customers the best support possible when integrating IdentityX into their overall security schema," said Tom Grissen, chief executive officer at Daon.
"We understand that the user's digital experience remains a priority across all sectors we work with, from financial services to healthcare to insurance and many more, but enhancements to the digital experience cannot sacrifice security. Mobile biometric authentication offers a faster, more convenient and secure option for authentication than traditional usernames and passwords. IdentityX 4.0 is the latest evolution of our award-winning platform and we look forward to continuing to support new and existing customers with the latest technology available in the market."
