MorphoTrust has announced that its centres have now enrolled more than two million US travellers in the Transportation Security Administration’s TSA Pre-check programme.
Using profiles linked to biometrics, Pre-check travelers do not need to remove shoes, laptops, liquids, belts or light jackets at security checkpoints.
MorphoTrust, a US subsidiary of French identity firm Morpho, is currently the sole enrolment services provider for TSA Pre-check. IdentoGO Centers are now processing nearly 50 percent more applications every day, compared to earlier in 2015, the company revealed in a statement.
IdentoGO Centers enrol people in more than 355 locations that service TSA Pre-check applicants. MorphoTrust has also launched a mobile enrolment program for businesses and other organizations, and through partnerships such as H&R Block to provide enrolment services at a growing number of retail locations.
“The TSA Pre-check program has proven to be a true win-win with enhanced security for the entire air travel system and convenience for the traveling public,” said Charles Carroll, senior vice president of identity services at MorphoTrust. “Working closely with our partners at TSA, we will continue to help expand this program and make convenient, hassle-free travel a reality for millions more Americans.”
TSA Pre-check is an expedited security screening program that connects travellers departing from more than 150 US.
MorphoTrust will be exhibiting at connect:ID 2016, 14-16 March, Washington DC. connect:ID is an international conference and exhibition that focuses on all aspects of identity technologies and the opportunities for their management in both the physical and digital worlds. www.connectidexpo.com
