RightPatient a finalist in national patient identification challenge

Biometric healthcare specialists Rightpatient has been selected as a Challenge finalist in the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) National Patient Identification Challenge.

In a statement, the firm said this demonstrated the viability of its platform as a solution to the serious patient identification problem that continues to afflict the U.S. healthcare system. This issue has sparked worldwide interest in brainstorming practical solutions that can be realistically implemented with minimal disruption to healthcare IT systems, as mentioned in CHIME’s official news release on the Challenge.

So far, the RightPatient platform has already been adopted by health systems representing 250 hospitals and over 900 sites, the statement noted.
