Smartphone maker OPPO has only included face recognition on its new smartphone, the A83.

The firm says the facial recognition algorithm can scan up to 128 different facial features, and compare it with the stored image to unlock the phone in 0.18 seconds.

OPPO fitted the A83 with a 3180mAh battery, and it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack for those who wants to plug in their own headphones rather than using Bluetooth.

At the rear, it comes with a 13-megapixel sensor that can stitch together several shots into a single 50-megapixel image. The front camera is an 8-megapixel unit, with beautification functions.
