Identity industry readies for connect:ID

Critical emerging and evolving next-generation identity issues will be covered in-depth at industry leading event connect:ID 2018 next week in Washington.

While key government speakers and industry leaders are due to relate insights on issues including national security, privacy and finance at the connect:ID 2018 conference, the event’s exhibition will see firms showcase cutting-edge identity technologies.

The 30 April-2 May show, to be held in  Walter E Washington Convention Center, Washington DC, will feature future insights, case histories and panel discussions. View the conference program here or download as a pdf.

In a keynote speech, John Wagner, Deputy Executive Assistant Commissioner, Office of Field Operations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), will be addressing the changing face of travel.

On day two, Professor Johnathan Turley, Professor of Law, George Washington School of Law, will be exploring the controversial privacy issues surrounding identity tech and data.

A keynote address on day three will cover “The dark side of identity: Terrorists, spies, and cyber criminals”, featuring Bryan Hurd, Vice President, Stroz Friedberg, an Aon company.

Other issues that will be discussed include the evolution of identity, covering aspects such as the increasing need to identify people and collect and analyze data in real time.

Socure, a provider of predictive analytics for digital identity verification, has also announced CEO Sunil Madhu will present at the conference on the impact of artificial intelligence and machine learning on online identity verification and fraud prevention.
